Ultimate

Here's an idea I have in mind that would probably most likely replace my idea for "The Passage". This one features a young woman named Faith Morales who is angsty, but she also has her morals(morales is Spanish for morals) and honest thinking. She obviously cares for those she loves and has good intentions, but after she is left with her brother, Peter, and her cat Tiger, in a post-apocalyptic world, she is put to the ultimate test to save souls taken hostage by Lucifene, a half-demon who seeks to be empress of the Earth with her demon dog minions. Faith's job is to save those souls to get to Heaven and find peace in herself once and for all.

Here's my design for Lucifene. The idea first came to mind when I first heard the song, "Kill Everybody" by Skrillex(I'm a techno-head, by the way). I figured I would make a character that would match the song and I immediately went to design Lucifene. The designs are in chronological order.

Here's the initial design for Faith Morales. It's very rough. Very simple.

I made her into a cat-angel for some reason. I'm still deciding whether or not this should be canon to my idea. Maybe...

Here's Faith's ALMOST-final design. I liked putting her in a leather jacket and giving more of a punky look. It gives her that angsty vibe. I'm also a huge fan of short hair(which I possess).

Here, I enhanced her punkiness by adding piercings to her face. They symbolize her rebelliousness to society. But not like usual rebelliousness of young punk teens. She finds stereotypes a disgrace to life and that people should like each other for others' boldness in openly being themselves, like she does with her punk look without it possessing her. She also doesn't judge people by their looks or actions. The least she'd do is feel disappointed in people and their decisions. But her mentality is "if you feel that's the best decision for you, go ahead and do it. But be aware of the consequences."

She's very badass.

Lucifene again along with how she looked like when she was still human before she got possessed, when she was a sweet but mentally and emotionally abused girl.

My aim is to show the differences between these two girls. They don't know each other at all, but Faith is the kind of person who doesn't let society influence her in any way, especially since her childhood, she was teased for her lightness of skin when she's Hispanic, her weight and her punky look, yet she ignored it and liked herself the way she it. But the girl Lucifene used to be was sweet and good-natured, but the bullying she recieved for her small and skinny stature and her vulnerability got to her deeply that she sold her soul to be stronger than everyone else as revenge. As the demon within her slowly took her body, the girl becomes trapped and regretful for her decision, costing many lives.

So, that's all I have now. Enjoy.

Butterfly Out My Window

Butterfly Out My Window

On a dull, grey morning I washed the dishes
Until a visitor, so quiet and swift
Landed outside and came over to visit.

It was delicate, clean and full of peace
I notice it out my window
And I began to feel my heart at ease.

Please stay awhile, I asked in thought,
And it humbly remained
As if company here it sought

Eventually, it did take off and flutter away
And still I smile
A butterfly's short life is happiness it pays

And it took its time on me.

Missing My Savior

A year has passed and I still miss it all
The unbalanced terrain and the storm rain fall
How the air was quiet but a torogoz's call
And how tall were the ruins' walls.
I recall the powerful and roaring thunder
In refuge of a canopy, I watch under
Night fragrance of rainwater and cinder
I feel a part of me begin to sunder.
El Salvador is my forever my home
For it's a place I long to roam
And see the small houses of loam
But mostly night thunder's lonely moan
Hopefully, I will return
For the desire in me burns
For the land of butterflies I yearn
In such a small country, there's so much to learn.

Lament of a Cowardly Spirit

Lament of my Cowardly Spirit

Between us there is broken glass
Shattered and mercilessly fractured
The acuminous edges so jagged and crass
That'd impair more the dispute if me it captured.
Still if one could feel both alive and dead
I feel like so, nonexistent, an apparition
As I weep my shadow curse in my bed
Entreat tears of my imprudent decision
If love were promise and forever abiding
Then why my allies forsake me ultimately
My trust they defraud, passing, dying
With I undesired ignorantly, impatiently
So the glass I dare not touch
Admitting cowardice with a whimper
Not wanting the truth, if painful and such
Scared to even say a bloody whisper
This murky spirit cries out this song
Oh, deceitful hope, please prove me wrong.

Soarin

This is something super-old I did for my Soarin project. That there's Milo the secretary bird. I'll elaborate more on his character soon.

Cute Yet Stupid: Candi Flutterbuzz

Since I wanted to broaden myself in my art styles, I wanted to create a wacky and insane character with mental problems. Which is Candi Flutterbuzz.

Candi has a butterfly mother who had a thing with a stupid fly. The butterfly mother and fly divorced after a year and mother took Candi with her upon seeing how lazy father fly is. Mother got remarried to a bee and he had a daughter as well, named Beatrice.

Well, Candi, being a butterfly/fly hybrid, inherited her father's stupidity. As she grew up, she became unstable, silly and secretly evil. Why? She doesn't have a reason, which is how hyper and crazy she is. She just wants to have fun in her life.

Her step sister Beatrice is the exact opposite. She is serious, organized and very mature. She always has to care for Candi to make sure she doesn't do anything stupid.

All in all, Candi is an idiotic girl in the care of her step sister throughout her insane adventures. This is more like an animated tv show idea.
